Coffee Break Designer Paper: Be Inspired Blog Hop

Hello stamping friends and welcome to the Be Inspired Design Team blog hop. You may have just arrived from my crazy awesome friend, Brian King. He's so fab right?! Well you've left the US and now you're in beautiful Canada! Welcome.

This week the design team is introducing you to our favourite new designer papers from the just released Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. It will be no surprise to you if you are one of my regular readers that I chose to showcase the Coffee Break Designer Series Paper. Is is SO cute!
I am especially in love with the images that can be cut out. The mugs, to-go cups, and coffee pots are just so darling. Plus there's even a die for the to-go cup, so no fussy cutting required on that one.
I snuck in quite a few of the patterned paper designs and also some of my new bff, the Embossing Paste. I also pieced my sentiment together from two different stamp sets to achieve the 'sending coffee & hugs'. You'll find the 'sending' and '& hugs' in the Sunshine Sayings Stamp Set and the 'coffee' in the Coffee Cafe Stamp Set.
As soon as you place an order of $50 or more (before shipping & tax) and use the monthly hostess code, you become one of my VIP customers.

Now please go and visit my talented friend, Janneke de Jong.

Feather Together Card

Hello friends! I'm excited to share one of the cards I had featured on the Stampin' Up! blog last week. I used the incredibly stunning Feather Together Stamp Set, and it is a beauty!
I am a mega fan of the new Lemon Lime Twist colour and I have a fun colour combo for you today on my card. You can pin this to Pinterest so you have this colour combo on hand for your future crafting too.
I added some two tone interest to my feathers by simply stamping one of the layering images with full strength ink direct from the ink pad, but then for the second image I 'stamped off' the ink on scrap paper before stamping on my feather. One ink pad, two ink colours! And SO easy! Here's a clip from one of my older videos that shows this super easy technique:

I hope you'll give this technique a try. You'll find all the products you need to create beautiful cards in my Canadian Online Stampin
